# Void

Cancel a transaction before settlement.

1. On the home screen, tap the icon in the top left to open the menu.
2. In the menu, tap **Transaction history**.

3. Tap the transaction you want to void.
4. On the transaction detail screen, tap **Void**. The terminal begins processing the void request.



Once approved, the void is complete and your merchant receipt is printed.

A transaction can't be voided after it has been settled. For settled payments, use [refund](/guides/pos/refund) instead.
