# Update a device

Update an existing POS device's settings.

## Update a device's settings

You can update all settings, except the POS ID.

To update a POS device's settings:

1. In the Unity Portal, go to **Merchant setup > Sites**.
2. Select the site associated with the POS device you want to update.
3. Click the **Services** tab.
4. In the *Pos service* row, click **Edit**.
5. Select the type of settings you want to change.
6. Make your changes.
7. Click **Save** to confirm.
