Set up transaction risk screening

Activate and configure the transaction risk service in the Unity Portal.

Step 1: Activate the service

To use the transaction risk screening service, you first need to activate it:

  1. In the Unity Portal, go to Merchant setup > Merchants or Merchant setup > Merchant groups.
  2. Select a merchant or merchant group.
  3. Click the Services tab.
  4. Find the Transaction risk screening service row.
  5. Toggle the Active switch to ON.

Your transaction risk screening service is now activated, but still needs to be configured.

Step 2: Configure the service

To configure your transaction risk screening service:

  1. In the Unity Portal, go to Merchant setup > Merchant groups or Merchant setup > Merchants.
  2. Select the merchant group or merchant that you want to configure the transaction risk screening service for.
  3. In the Services tab, find the Transaction risk screening service row and click Edit. If you can't find the service, it likely hasn't been added to your catalogue. Please contact your account manager for assistance.
  4. Select Stand-alone.
  5. Set the Screen all transactions toggle to ON.
  6. Toggle the provider(s) you'd like to use to ON.
  7. Click Save in the top right to confirm.

You're now ready to use the transaction risk screening service.

If the service has been activated at the merchant group level, you can choose to override the settings at the merchant level.
